Board Actions
The board of education on May 21:
  • Reviewed upcoming trips by the Pattonville bowling team and Education First (college trip to New England);
  • Approved paying $2,206,426.28 for regular bills;
  • Approved, subject to audit, the financial statements for the month of April 2019;
  • Approved paying $942,945.20, for purchases made on the district's purchasing cards, which earned the district a rebate of nearly 1% (or $8,898.15);
  • Approved contract adjustments for bond issue projects in the amount of $180,244.87;
  • Lodged for action budget revisions for the 2018-2019 school year; a vote is expected during the June 11 board meeting;
  • Approved the May 2019 transportation route miles for the 2018-2019 school year;
  • Approved the instructional materials adoption for the grades 5 through 12 instrumental music program at a cost of $73,312;
  • Approved the instructional materials adoption for the grades 6 through 12 modern language program at a cost of $91,773;
  • Approved the instructional materials adoption for the grades 6 through 12 mathematics program at a cost of $375,400;
  • Approved the instructional materials adoption for the kindergarten through 12th grade physical education program at a cost of $98,318;
  • Appointed Pattonville chief financial officer Ron Orr to serve on the tax increment financing (TIF) commission for the city of Maryland Heights;
  • Approved the school opening date of Aug. 15 for the 2019-2020 school year;
  • Approved paying $6,191.90 to Tueth, Keeney, Cooper, Mohan and Jackstadt for legal services;
  • Approved revisions to Policy IKF (Graduation Requirements) and the rescission of policies IGCE (Missouri Virtual Instruction Program - MoVIP) and IKFF (Graduation Requirements);
  • Approved the purchase of Video Insight Camera licenses from All Campus Security for $51,803.63 (this purchase is being funded by the 2017 zero tax rate increase bond issue);
  • Approved an agreement to purchase telecommunication services, SIP Trunks, from Mitel Cloud Services for $21,558.24 annually for a 36-month total of $64,674.71;
  • Approved the purchase and installation of phone system components from Vertical Communication for $167,959.96;
  • Awarded a bid for the purchase of security cameras to ADI for $137,469.91 (this purchase is being funded by the 2017 zero tax rate increase bond issue);
  • Awarded a bid for the purchase of network equipment to Provision Data Solutions for $118,666.00 (this purchase is being funded by the 2017 zero tax rate increase bond issue);
  • Awarded a bid to Hof to renovate the second and third floors of the Pattonville Learning Center for $779,259 (this purchase is being funded by the 2017 zero tax rate increase bond issue);
  • Awarded a bid for asphalt paving at various locations throughout the district to Bryne and Jones for $921,375 (this purchase is being funded by the 2017 zero tax rate increase bond issue);
  • Awarded a bid for food service management to Chartwells for $1,071,213; and
  • Approved the district's health and pharmacy benefits for the next three years.
