Staff members at Pattonville High School presented their MVP (Most Valuable Pirate) Awards to 105 students in grades nine through 12. Each staff member selected one outstanding student to receive an MVP medallion award during a special awards ceremony at the school on April 25.
High school teachers and support staff annually select a student to honor for Most Valuable Pirate. Any student is eligible for nomination, regardless of the reason. There's no strict criteria — they can be selected based on academic excellence, overcoming obstacles, worth ethic, personality, character, extracurricular participation, and more.
Four students were selected as an MVP for the third time. Seventeen students were second time recipients and 84 were first-time recipients.
